That is awesome! However, it's rather like an archaeological tease - I want the whole report and more photos!
As a History major, I'd have to agree. This story is fascinating, but a tease!! However, maybe at this time, there isn't much more to see? Not sure when the graves were dug...
Yeah. It seems to be an on-going dig, so I suppose we'll have to wait for the write-up to appear in a journal. Or for some museum exhibit years from now to put together a souvenir book that includes the finds and info.

The whole 'cult" thing is is intriguing, but it also gets my scientific skepticism going. The old joke in my archeology classes was always, 'if you don't know what it is, or what it was for, it MUST be a religious artifact!"

So...did you have a specialty or concentration in History? I am guessing Medieval.

I focused on the Roman Republic/Empire, actually. Although, I don't remember as much as I would like. My professor was very, um, thorough? Intense? Banned from certain campuses? Same with Latin. I learned a lot about language, but not much about Latin. I also touched on Archeology and Cultural Resource Management. Wish somebody told me that most of the work was done my VOLUNTEERS before I graduated!!!
